ATA Announces New Service to Hawaii From Chicago

INDIANAPOLIS, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- ATA (American Trans Air, Inc.) announced today that the airline will begin year-round, non-stop service to Honolulu from Chicago beginning in December 2000 in partnership with Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, the largest travel company serving Hawaii. ATA will operate the scheduled service round-trip flights from Chicago's O'Hare Airport twice weekly, utilizing L-1011-500 aircraft.

``The alliance of Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays and ATA has been providing Hawaiian vacations to travelers from the West Coast for many years,'' said Bill McKnight, ATA's Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales. ``We are pleased that we can now extend this service to Chicago as well.''

The non-stop flights from Chicago-O'Hare will begin on December 22, and will operate on Fridays and Saturdays.
