United Express/Atlantic Coast Airlines to Expand Chicago O'Hare Service With New Regional Jet Flights to Seven Destinations

Flights From Chicago to Albany, Hartford, Buffalo, Cedar Rapids, Charlotte, Kansas City and Omaha to Begin June 7th

DULLES, Va., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantic Coast Airlines (ACA) (Nasdaq: ACAI - news), the Dulles, VA-based United Express carrier announced today it will offer regional jet service between Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and seven new cities beginning June 7, 2001. Those destinations include:

Each city will be served by one round-trip United Express regional jet flight per day. These flights will complement existing mainline United Airlines service to the seven cities from Chicago O'Hare, which is United's worldwide hub. United Express/ACA already offers regional jet service from both Albany and Buffalo to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

The new United Express jet flights will be serviced by the 50-passenger Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ), considered one of the fastest, quietest regional aircraft available today. The CRJ flies at speeds of 530 miles per hour at an altitude of up to 41,000 feet. For passenger comfort, the CRJ provides two- by-two seating throughout the entire cabin, eliminating the ``middle seat''.
